When will my order ship?

Custom items take 2-4 business days to print and usually 2-3 days for shipping. Pre-Printed items take 1 business day to process and usually 2-3 days for shipping.

We’ll occasionally close the shop so we can vacation with family & friends. Notices when this occurs will be posted prominently at the top of all pages on the site. No printing, processing or shipping will occur until the date indicated on the notice.

What are your Business Days?

  • Design: Monday through Saturday excluding national holidays
  • Printing: Monday through Friday excluding national holidays
  • Shipping: Monday through Saturday excluding national holidays

Do you have a rush option?

Unfortunately we don’t have one at this time. We are working to come up with a solution, but we’re not quite ready to launch it. If you need your cards sooner than our standard option, please send a message through the contact form to let us know how many cards you need and when you need them. If we feel we can provide your order to you within your timeline, we can generally do it for a modest fee.

The other option is our digital file. We provide a high quality jpeg you can take to your favorite printer or even print at home if you have the capability. This option is available on almost every product in our store. Please see the digital file info page for more information.

Can I see a preview before printing my order?

Yes. With all custom orders you will be emailed a proof to approve prior to printing your order.

Can I make a change after I submit my order?

After you submit your order, we work together with you over email to finalize & personalize your Invitations. Once we’ve finalized the proof, no more changes may be made. Please see our Custom Order Process for more details.

Is your checkout process secure?

Yes. Our website is secured by a GlobalSign Alpha SSL Certificate. Credit or debit card details are processed in one of 2 ways; 1. Selecting Credit Card, you are taken to our payment partners secure PCI DSS compliant website or 2. When selecting PayPal, you are redirected to paypal.com to enter your details. This means Invitations by Ruth NEVER receives or stores your actual credit card numbers, no matter what method you select.

I've never heard of you...are you legit?

Yes! Although we are small and don’t have a huge marketing budget, we’ve printed 1000’s of invites for many satisfied customers. You can read some of our feedback at Etsy, where we first started this business.

Where do your card designs originate?

Ruth personally has created every item in the shop. Some of the ideas are design requests from other customers, some are from paintings she’s done for other mediums, but most are original work intended to be placed in the shop. Every day she’s is her studio working through new ideas. You won’t find her card and invitation work available anywhere else!

What is the quality of your paper?

We have a couple of different papers, depending on what you’re ordering.

  • Wedding Category: We use a very thick (350 gsm) high quality stock that has a nice matte finish.
  • All Other Invitation Categories: We use a thick (255 gsm) high quality stock that has a matte finish, but still contains a nice pearl sheen when viewed.
  • Wall Art Category: We use a nice 230 gsm paper canvas that give the prints a quality hand painted look & feel.
